~SUCCESS STORIES~

After Dr.Spetzler offered the surgery, what  made my decision to have the surgery so agonizing, is the fact that I could not find anybody who had a successful Brainstem Surgery after being told Inoperable over and over again!! Of course, I found people who were alive, but I wanted to be more than alive... at best, I wanted to be able to rehabilitate and have an at least decent quality of life.    I don't want people who find my blog to think that I am one in a million, a freak of nature to have done so well, making them feel that there is no way on earth that they can do as well as I did.   I want you to read about other successful recoveries too! So dear friends, here are very inspiring, amazing, successful "inoperable" surgeries stories for you!!!

Now that I have shared with you successful stories of successful surgeries, I want
to share the story of a courageous woman who did not have surgery, but I feel that
her story is such an encouragement to people who cant have the surgery for another kind of "inoperable". She suffered a stroke without even knowing what caused it. She was pregnant when diagnosed, making surgery automatically out of the question. I want to share her inspiring and incredible journey. Jamie, I pray with all my heart that you will never have another bleed again, but if you ever do and need the surgery, you have proof thru all of us that one more time, you would pull thru!

Brainstem (Pons) Stroke Survivor Pregnant at the time, surgery was not an option.

"Most importantly, I am slowly transitioning into accepting Jamie 2.0.  I am beginning to find peace with what has happened to me and learning to regard it as a blessing rather than a curse." Jamie

UPDATE: Jamie experienced a second bleed in February 2016, and had surgery March 2016. Her surgery was performed by Dr.Robert Spetzer. She is recovering well so far.
